Introduction to ProQuest RefWorks

Target audience: research staff and students.

This is a workshop which provides an overview of why you may wish to use reference management tools for your research.

It covers in particular the new version of a reference management software product ProQuest RefWorks.

There will be hands on practice using ProQuest  RefWorks and the opportunity to create or work with an existing ProQuest RefWorks account, importing references from different sources such as:

CityLibrary Search, Google Scholar, databases, edit references and put them in folders, explore some of the functionality of ProQuest RefWorks.

You can set up a ProQuest RefWorks account before the workshop at: https://refworks.proquest.com/ click Create account and use your City email address. If you do so, please bring along your username and password.

You will also have the chance to ask questions and also see how to transfer your references from RefWorks Legacy to ProQuest RefWorks if you are currently using Legacy.

Please note that the product used will be the new ProQuest RefWorks and the workshop will be largely hands on practice using a worksheet.
