SHS Researchers: Performing a Scoping Search

This session is for Masters and PhD students, researchers and academics from the School of Health Sciences. This session will help to clarify that the topic you have chosen for your dissertation/systematic review is viable. In this session we shall cover how to perform a scoping search to:

  • Clarify that a systematic review has not already been done on your chosen topic
  • Get a feel for how much research is available on your topic, to determine if you need to broaden or narrow your question
