SHS Researchers: Performing a scoping search for your research proposal

This session is for Masters and PhD students, researchers and academics from the School of Health Sciences who are in the process of developing a research proposal for their dissertation/research project.

The purpose of a scoping search is to get an idea of how much research is available on your proposed topic to help determine if it is viable as a research project. Also, if you are planning to perform a systematic review you will also need to check if a systematic review is in the process of, or has been published, covering the same topic you are proposing.

This session will highlight and demonstrate the key resources available to perform a scoping search.
