Supporting blind and visually impaired people
Join the Accessibility Group for a workshop on supporting blind and visually impaired people. In this workshop we will cover:
- Awareness, empathy and attitudes
- Spaces and orientation - helping people at the desk and around the library spaces
- Teaching and communication
- Accessible documents
- Technology such as screen readers
We will be sharing the slides in advance so you can read them, download them and make any adjustments you may need.
There will be some inclusively designed online quizzes, exercises and practice with screen readers. Please contact us if you require any adjustments.
