Finding news sources

Do you need to find news articles to keep up to date or for a historical perspective on a topic? This online workshop will provide an introduction to the online newspaper collections available at CityLibrary including:

  • Newspaper databases: Nexis UK and Factiva​
  • Digital newspaper archives ​
  • FT.com, Economist and PressReader.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Find and log into our newspaper collections
  • Check coverage
  • Search and refine results
  • Reference newspaper articles.

These workshops are designed for School of Communication & Creativity and School of Policy & Global Affairs students, but all students are welcome to attend.

How do I attend?

When you register we'll send you an email with a link to join the workshop on Microsoft Teams.

To join the session you will need:

  • a computer
  • a reliable internet connection and
  • quiet space at the time of the workshop.
