Harvard Citing and referencing basics: using Cite Them Right Online

This is an introductory workshop on using Harvard citing and referencing.
It will use the Cite Them Right Online version of Harvard.
 
Please note that the OSCOLA referencing system is normally used in Law, see our Law referencing guide. This will not be covered in this workshop.
 
It will cover:
  • The concepts of citing and referencing in academic work.
  • How to include citations in your assignments.
  • Referencing different types of materials such as books, journal articles, websites.
  • How to create a list of references at the end of your work.
  • Practice using Cite Them Right Online.
  • Advice on where to find further guidance.
