Introduction to Bloomberg
This is a hands-on workshop to help you get started using Bloomberg. You'll use the Bloomberg terminal yourself so you can get used to the navigation.
It will take place in the Financial Databases Suite on the 5th Floor of the Northampton Square Library in the University Building.
This session will use a worksheet to show you how to:
- Navigate Bloomberg
- Find, download and save company and market information
- Use other functions to find financial, index and economic data.
- Find help and support within the database
Space is limited so booking is essential - if you're not able to come, you must cancel using the link in your original booking email (sent from alerts@libcal.com) - that way if there is a waiting list someone else will be able to take your place.
These workshops are designed to support the Bayes undergraduate curriculum, but students studying all areas, including Economics courses, Political Science and Financial Journalism are welcome to attend.
There are 10 terminals, and space for up to 20 students, so you will work in pairs if more than 10 students sign up for the session.
Each session will cover the same information so you only need to book once. If you have already attended a session, even in a previous year, there is no need to attend more.
