Introduction to literature searching for your undergraduate dissertation

Session overview

This workshop will cover planning and carrying out a literature search, including:

  • where to find information planning your search strategy
  • how to do an effective keyword search using the EBSCOhost and/or Ovid Online platforms
  • we will also cover important elements you need to include in your search methodology.

Before attending look at the Library Essentials guide, particularly the section on 'Finding information for assignments'.

Who is this session for?

This session is aimed at undergraduate students from the School of Health & Psychological Sciences carrying out a literature review using a systematic approach.

How do I attend?

When you register we'll send you an email with a link to join the workshop on Zoom, and you'll get a reminder email before the start time.

To join the session you will need:

  • a computer
  • a reliable internet connection and
  • quiet space at the time of the workshop.
