Session overview

This workshop will introduce School of Health & Psychological Sciences students to searching key databases available on the EBSCOhost and Ovid platforms.

The session will cover:

  • accessing and selecting databases on the EBSCOhost and Ovid platforms
  • carrying out a structured and focused keyword search
  • applying search limiters
  • saving search results.

Who is this session for?

This session is aimed at undergraduate students carrying out a dissertation, but any student tackling structured database searching for the first time will find it useful.

How do I attend?

When you register we'll send you an email with a link to join the workshop on Teams, and you'll get a reminder email before the start time.

To join the session you will need:

  • a computer
  • a reliable internet connection and
  • quiet space at the time of the workshop.
