SHMS Postgraduates & Researchers : Useful tools for screening, analysing and documenting your literature search results

Once you have completed your literature search for your dissertation/research paper you will need to screen and analyse your search results to select those which meet the inclusion criteria of your research question and check them for quality. Those results you are left with will then need to be documented in your final paper.

This workshop will demonstrate some tools which can help you with these processes.

The session will cover:

  • Removing duplicated results in RefWorks
  • Tips for retrieving full text documents
  • Critical Appraisal checklists
  • Systematic Review software
  • How to complete the PRISMA flow diagram
